It was Mr. Seeger who gave the world this song, and many other wonderful songs, in the first place. It is no surprise that as he nears his 90th year he no longer performs as well as he once did. The problem with your comments is not with their accuracy, it is that they are petty and mean-spirited.

My dear friend, I have never meant to be mean-spirited in my life, ever. It is a fine tribute to Pete Seeger that I still sing his delightful songs. But let's be realistic here; these guys were awesome in their time, but time itself can play cruel tricks with your musical ability; I prefer to remember these fine musicians when they could deliver the goods. Surely that isn't mean-spirited or petty. I'm just being honest...

My comment was based on your use of words like "turkey," "are they high," and "murdered this fine song." Nevertheless, I accept your statement that you did not intend to be mean-spirited. Perhaps your criticism could have been expressed with more kindness. Certainly these people have earned at least that much.

Your is an adjective: belonging to you.

This song is so beautifully sad, brings a tear to my eye, especially to see Mr. Seeger. I was introduced to this song in grade 3 when I had to sing it at a Remembrance day assembly over 20 years ago and I don't think there is another song that touches me more to this day. As for the people criticizing Mr. Seeger and his performance here...you are pathetic and obviously cannot get past that to appreciate the meaning of this song and how it speaks to the human spirit.

This song is so much more than a performance. It could be spoken and would still be magical. This song has transcended and will continue to transcend generations. Too bad there are not poets like Mr. Seeger around anymore. The words - Where have all the flowers gone- were given a new meaning by Mr. Seeger. If you can't appreciate that, then why are you even on here?

Let me put the record straight. The song is a fine song and nobody is disputing that. My comments are on the performance, which, come on, let's be honest, isn't great. OK, these guys are getting on a bit, but allowances aside, I just didn't think it was good, that's all. Sorry if I offended Pete Seeger or PP&M fans, but it's my review, that's all I can say. It's one man's opinion...
