I agree, a band is not defined by one member but definitely the lead singer is a very big influence, half of the times I don't like a song is because of the singer's voice, not the rest, so it's normal if people don't like the new Nightwish, even though the songs are almost the same.

Yes, plus Tarja was also the image of the band, so Nightwish changed a lot. It's normal that some people don't like the new Nightwish and some people do. Think about how bored we'd all be if we'd all have the same opinion. Or if we'd like the same types of music.

A band isnt defined by one member true. Nut Toumas sent Tarja to the sky himself then when the fans starts to like her better than the band he kicks her out in an most horrible way. I truly wont listen to no new stuff of Nightwsih ever. I dont see a reason to since I dont listen to pop music

Ohhh, great comment! I think the same! I'm a metal fan, and I really don't want to hear how a pop singer is screaming and ruining the gold songs! For me NW died on the day when they fired Tarja! The golden era is for me everything, I listen to it all day long, but I won't listen to that..... pop singer!
