Video Description:
One of Neil Youngs most brutally honest, harrowing autobiographical songs..unreleased....
When I was a hitchhiker on the road I had to count on you But you needed me to ease the load And for conversation too Or did you just drive on through. You didn't see me in Toronto When I first tried out some hash Smoked some then and I'll do it again If I only had some cash Only had some ca
sh. Then I tried amphetamines And my head was in a glass Taped underneath the speedometer wires Of my '48 Buick's dash. But I knew that wouldn't last. Then came California Where I first saw open water In the land of opportunity I knew I was getting hotter I knew I was getting hotter. But the neon

I had to count on you But you needed me to ease the load And for conversation too Or did you just drive on Did you just drive on Did you just drive on through. Or did you just drive on Did you just drive on Did you just drive on

I met some interesting people, along south I-75, to Florida.
Learned a few things about people too.
Still, may be worth a thought or two, as you get older.
Not necessarilly because of gas prices, but the possibility of still having some interesting conversation.
I write all of this, as a positive dream, or opportunity, for one last look around, before it, "Comes A Time," to convince one's self to settle down.
'cause i can't park on a hill
instead a gettin a rollin start
i have to pay the bill...

One of my All Time Favorite albums and the flats are over rated unless you have too much cash and time to wasts.
Yeah, at 21, living in Hawaii, and waiting for the tour to end there.
Then after about half the tour, it was announced that Young had developed polyps on his vocal chords, cancelling the remainder of the tour.
I had, "The Stills Young Band, " album, and believed then and now, it is a masterpiece of collaboration between Young and Stills.
Yet, being surprised they were doing an album together, due to their disputes from "Buffalo Springfield," days, the end didn't surprise me.
A piece of hash, stick the dull end of a sewing needle into a small piece of cork, and the piece of hash on the sharp end.
Light the piece of hash, as it begins to burn, sit a small beer glass over it, dousing the fire, cutting off oxygen, and developing a thick cloud of smoke.
Last, a straw with the flexible end for bending into a bottle, cut in half, and lifting the glass just enough to get the straw in side and inhaling all the smoke.
Oh!Gotta go!!! Hash police at door!!!
Ah! Those were the Days!
Yeah, and to think, all those years ago, while we enjoyed the hash, one of Neil's albums would be on the turntable.
I get a chance to relive those days, hash and Neil, once in a while, and there is much more music to listen to.
A whole afternoon of the good stuff, with Neil's "Great," stuff.
"Sooner or later, it all get's real, walk on."
I am very happy for you, being able to see Stills and Young.
It seems to me, thinking back, and being reminded from time to time about missing that concert, just how cool it would have been.
I don't believe I was ever in more anticipation of a show, nor have I ever anticipated another concert as much since then.
Sometimes, I just smile and imagine the two of them together.
Well, you never know.
I'll accept your version of what happened.
Sounds more like Neil.
Thanks.
