Obama voted against even starting the war in the first place. But once it was started and it had enough steam that he knew the soldiers would be kept there for awhile, THAT'S when he funded it - not to change his stance on whether the war should be happening in the first place, but to make sure that if OUR TROOPS were gonna be sent over there, they didn't go empty-handed! What if the soldiers were sent there un-equipped and fated to die?
