Christ(ie)! She was magical in this movie. The concerted acting poesy, ageless beauty and grace of this woman resulted in gold. It's the performance of her career, and should have made her a two-time Oscar

I really want to watch the film.
I was given a paper topic on Alice Munro's "The Bear Came Over the Mountain" and while I was searching for some secondary sources, I came across this film. It seems pretty interesting although I must say it seems a tad different from the short story itself.
