Glock Detail Strip.

Video Description:
A video showing how to detail strip a Glock pistol. The pistol here is a model 19. Green words are instructions that should be followed. White words are used when parts are being taken out for clarification.
You are not supposd to use a hammer to remove the pins. Instead, just push on them with the punch. Using a hammer can damage your pistol (bending a pin or mar the frame) if you use too much force. This information came to me after I finished making this video so I was not able to change it. An

This video is a horrible presentation on detail stripping a Glock pistol. You should NEVER use a hammer to push the pins out of the frame. There is a possibility the slide lock lever spring will not come off the trigger pin and you will damage the frame. There is no repair for the frame once you do that. I have seen it happen dozens of times at shooting events.

Opps, I meant the slide release spring. That's the one that sometimes never comes loose from the trigger pin.

You gotta give this guy credit for trying to share his knowledge. And some people just don't have the confidence to speak directly to the masses. I'm new to pistol usage and this video showed me how to take out my recoil spring and barrel. Also, I'm really sorry the maker of this video cut his life short. I don't know if he gets internet access where he's at but I'd like him to know that I appreciate this video.

If its true that he killed himself... thats sad. Not to critisize the video but I think thats way to much oil for a Glock. No more than three drops for this weapon. To much and you will have other problems.

yeah, hammering the pins can also cause damage to the slide release lever and the trigger bar. not sure if anybody told you exactly why you shouldn't hammer the pins, so there it is, lol.
