I never said we were meant to smoke it recreationally. Perhaps meant to use it as a medicine. I'm not sure, but it's possible.
There are around 80 chemicals in cannabis called cannabinoids (THC is the main cannabinoid that gets you high), and they are unique to cannabis. We just so happen to have special receptors in our nervous system designed for cannabinoids.
And, there is no proof that cannabis kills braincells.

magicmentalmaniac, i am all in favour of legalizing marijuana but i still think it would be wise not to allow people to drive under the influence of marijuana, i think we can all agree that it impairs judgment at least in some people, and its a quite reasonable precaution, except in medicinal users, maybe something could be worked out for them.

your right of coarse, it is safer to drive under the influence of marijuana than under the influence of weed, but i would still like to keep both illegal, smoke weed fine but no when you have to drive, or get a car that drives itself, they have taxis that do that in holland apparently, also they tested one on top gear, then it wouldn't make a difference what drug you were on your still getting home safely.

instead of keeping them illegal (remember, prohibition didn't work last time, it hasn't worked with cannabis, and it won't work with alcohol now) just make it illegal to be under the influence of marijuana while driving, as we do with alcohol.

I vaporize weed for medicinal purposes, and i do eat oranges and bananas and carrots. Being high is not an excuse for a lack of self control of eating habits or self control over anything. Don't associate unhealthy with marijuana.
