3.5 billion years .. The earth will definetly still be here. The sun is set to consume Earth in about 6 billion years.
Sure mankind would ... ( 2 weeks ago by sesshy34)
Sure mankind would survive but not the entire race, the survival of the fittest and probably the luckiest comes into play. Say if the third world war's gonna start in a few years and China, US and Russia start nuking the hell outta each other, the only survivers would be either the muslims from the middle east or Australians ;)

I ahte the comments on these vids so much... Bunch of idiots talking about doomsday every time.
1. This occurs in 3.5 billion years. 2. 42. 3. You never know, we have A LOT of time to come up with something in 3.5billion years huh? Every few years are data base doubles, so think about it... 100, 3 years later, 200, three years later 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800, 25600, 51200, 101400, 2
02400, by the time this hits we'll be pretty advanced. Or dead.

Btw, the fram rate is roughly... 10 million years per second, just thought I'd let you know.
Galaxies are mostly ... ( 2 weeks ago by ichersue)
Galaxies are mostly interstellar gas and dark matter so if there are any life forms observing this event from either galaxy they would hardly notice anything other than major changes in their night skies.
Array ( 2 weeks ago by quickstrike93)
are u an idiot
galaxies are made up of billions and billions of stars, each one with the possibility of planets orbiting it
if you are in one of these galaxies you will either die instantly or be thrown out of your solar orbit
Yes it is possible ... ( 2 weeks ago by ichersue)
Yes it is possible that life on some star systems could be extinguished if their home planet's orbit around its star(s) is destabilized due the chaotic gravitational attraction of many other stars. But since, as you've stated in your comment, "galaxies are made up of billions and billions of stars," galaxies must be very large and so their interaction would take several million earth years (see link99912's comments) - more than ample time for intelligent beings to pack up and leave.

This wont do any ... ( 1 week ago by pajjmannen)
This wont do any harm to the sun nor the earth. The distances are to great between stars. The collisions will ocure in the center of the galaxy. We have one threat before this happens and that is the water boil on earth when te sun gets hoter. And that will happen in 1 billion years. Scientists think we can make it out of that. We will probably live millions of generations after us as we are early humans. If we survive these things we are te first 0.00004 procent of the human life time.

how can they be so sure because time does not exist in space
i dont think so ... ( 5 days ago by puertoricann)
i dont think so danharibo cuz before earth was created life didnt exist i think so its possible that life could happen again... its always possible :] Anyways uhhh maaaaybe when this happen we would be like type 4 civilization and like live on other planets, stars or w/e and survive this collision. Hey its possible but anyways right now we are at type 0 civilization ha so lol it will be a long while before that happens.

We will easily ... ( 3 days ago by pajjmannen)
We will easily survive this.. we have lived for 200000 years and we have 1000000000 at least left. I think we
´ll be pretty advanced by then. We have probably colonised the galaxy at that time. We have live 0.0002 procent of 1000000000 years only. And see how far we have gotten allready.
