She translates "tea" as 'Ocha", but ocha indicates some kind of green tea such as, sencha or houji-cha or that sort. Any other tea (black, red, chai) is not ocha.

to the japanese, green tea IS tea. to western and european society, we only see tea teas like earl grey as "tea" and the others have to have special names, but for the japanese it's the same way for green tea. i think the reason they call other teas "kocha" is because they are somewhat more similar to koohii (coffee).
