Michael Hedges - Cello Suite #1 in G Major (Bach)

Bach's first cello suite (BWV 1007, the prelude), on the harp guitar, played as intended in G major. 8/1/87 performance at the Maheavy Theater in Great Barrington, MA. Tuning:G1C2C#2A1D2E2G2D3E3A3D4; 0.056 on the harp 5 sub-basses for the string gauge, and 0.056, 0.046, 0.036, 0.026, 0.017, 0.013 for the 6-string guiitar gauages. é de la carrera de MH, y por la música de él que he oído, me inclino por pensar que sí sabía, y mucho, acerca de la retórica barroca, pero que sus versiones de piezas antiguas simplemente son modernizadas en ese sentido. MH y otros guitarristas de Windham Hill han tomado piezas antiguas y las
han utilizado como bases para recreaciones contemporáneas, en mi opinión. Si el resultado es mejor es materia de debate, claro :)

This song is more challenging when its played with a cello. I find when i play it with a guitar its more about fingering and less about bow/pick control.

Two points to consider, Sir: 1) This is the the prelude to suite #1 (although that doesn't really mean he wrote it first, but we'll let that slide) 2) Through the magic of modern technology WE are in 1987. And I will add this further refinement: Tuesday.
