Do you have any clue what you're talking about? A stratocaster is not a beginner setup. A stratocaster is $1200
The only Stratocaster that would be good for a beginner is the SQUIRE Stratocaster. Squire is Fender's lower-end stuff for first time players or people on a budget. So Fender owns Squire, its just Fender guitars are made in America and Squire ones are made in like China or Vietnam or Korea or some
thing. Just like Gibson makes Epiphone.

A stratocaster is not a "nice" beginning guitar. It's a $1200 guitar which is played by SRV, Eric Clapton, and Jimi Hendix
The only type of Stratocaster thats good for a beginner is a Squire. (which is made by Fender just a lower end brand for people who are new to on a budget). Its still made by Fender but made in China or Korea or something.

I actually played a gibson LP studio..... and I totally prefer my ibanez, the lp whines too much when doing rythm through a distortion, or rythm at all, even with tone killed.
But hey, that's just taste, and the studio is the bottom of the lp line, I'm sure there's one bound to sound better.

for beginning a very expensive guitar might not be the best, but it might hold longer for the level of your skill when you have been playing for years and years :P maybe an Epiphone would be a good starter guitar, they are actually pretty good, the LP standards, are good for a beginner, but the only problem is the neck might be bit too small for a beginner, of just need to consider the size of your hands :P
