"Video Killed The Radio Star" played on the theremin by Jon Bernhardt at his house in Massachusetts, on June 10, 2006. Why another version? Jon was asked to contribute to a TV show being developed by Vh1, and they wanted to include an intro explaining what a theremin is (hence the first 100 seconds of this clip). those just have an ugly annoying sound to them. they look fun to play but it sounds like a baby whining when you do the deeper notes,and a person screaming when you do high notes. Ugh!

This is awesome and one of the most daring Theremin performances I've heard. Can't imagine how hard that would be to play on it. I'm a keyboard player, but am thinking of getting a Theremin to add to the "mix" of equipment I have. I have messed with them a little in the past, all the videos on here got me intrigued again.
For anyone that thinks this thing is just some silly toy or easy to play - think again, keyboards are WAY easy in comparison!

I am not using my voice for anything. The tone is controlled with effects petals. I'm using a Moogerfooger MF-101 low pass filter to create the "wah-wah" effect and the MF-102 ring modulator for the noisy sound at the end of the bridge.
