Yes,I have heard Do the Evolution"!I never said I did not listen to Pearl Jam and I have even seen them live! A persons ability to play in a band or write a song does not determine their intelligence or make them a Genius! The song evolution calls Christians killers,liars and thief's, when in fact,there have been more deaths caused by Non Christian nations than any Christian based or founded nation!I am not Christian,I lean towards being agnostic, but I dont deny facts in order to promote myths!

i have to intercede here. the inquisition? the crusades? do any of these ring a bell? these were be4 statistical genocidal record keeping, so #s might be skewed slightly. more ppl were killed in the name of a christian god in those campaigns then any other war/genocide ever. if each do not top the highest #s individually, then combined they most certainly would. seeing as how they're both over the same topic, your argument holds no water at this point. lying & thieving? do more research on that

Deaths by non religious nations/leaders.Japan Killed 20 million Chinese, China- Mao Zedong, no religion killed 30-72 million by murder,execution,famine. Cambodias Khmer Rouge murdered 4,000,000.Vietnamese communist murdered 1,250,000.Korea-Kim Il-sung murdered 1,600,000.Russia-62,000,000 between 1917-1987.Hitler-rejected Christianity and murdered 22,000,000 and caused the deaths of an estimated 60-70 million by starting WWII. All but Hitler and Germany were communist nations.

those numbers cannot compare to the ones that are only speculated on by leading historians during the time of the crusades & inquisition. throw in the salem witch hunts and your numbers are only going to grow. like i said, while the individual campaigns might not add up to individual wars that have occurred, the fact that all the campaigns were in the name of christianity makes them of the same root, thus beating out any of the numbers on the individual confrontations you've listed.

Israel is religious, but violence has persisted here for centuries. Ditto for Pakistan. The bloodiest war in U.S.A's history, the Civil War, was fought between people of a religious nation. The Crusades were military conflicts of a religious character by a christian Europe. World War II was fought between nations comprised of religious majorities. And the list goes on. If atheists only ever comprised at most 18% of our population, you can't attribute most of history's violence to these people.

Anyone religious or non religious can and have committed violence! To imply that non religious people do not commit violence is absolutely ridiculous! The fact still is, even counting deaths from the civil war(620,000) etc the number of deaths from non Religious nations is 200 million or more. For the record, a am not religious..but I don't lie and can not ignore the facts... what a have given you are basically facts!

I just came from California and I can tell all of you, every american should really stay at school. Compared to europeans, your knowledge about world and how things work is very poor. Come on, travel even once in your life outside US and you'll get something to compare. I love Pearl Jam but imho Vedder is not genius. He's just another californian pothead with his own bit twisted and narrow view of world. Good singer he's though their music becomes duller and duller record by record. Peace.

Please cite your sources. Religious people and agnostics/atheists both commit acts of violence, yes, but what you say is absurd. Those who are not religious commit more acts of violence!? Our population is comprised on roughly 18% nonreligious individuals, and these people are not responsible for over 50% of all the violence in humanity's history. Please cite your sources first before you continue with this argument. It's irrational to assume nonreligious people are more prone to violence.
