The reactor accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant was the worst in history, resulting in a severe nuclear meltdown. On 26 April 1986 at 01:23:40 a.m. reactor number four at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant located in the former Soviet Union near Pripyat in Ukraine exploded. In 2007 we have made this short video of the former nuclear plant and the deserted town of Pripyat.

Really impressive video. I really want to visit the reactor area and Pripyat sometime in my live. However my parents don't allow me to go there for some reason, they probably overrate the danger that you take by going in there for only 1 day. I've always been interested in the happening for some reason and visiting the real scenery sometime is something I've always dreamed off, even though it's probably one of the scariest places on the globe.

It is dangerous. Going into reactor 4 will most likely kill you.

If you stay in there long enough: Yes
If you stay in there for no more than 5 minutes: No
5 minutes will expose your body to the same amount of radiation yu will get from lying in the sun for 3 weeks. There is a possibility to go into the control centre of Reactor 4 for about 5 minutes, being accomponied by a scientist. There is a video overhere on youtube that tells the story of a Br
itisch journalist who did exactly that, including footage from inside the control area.

I guess you're right, but it is a big risk you take. And let's say it's better to not go. Also you wouldn't like to get the radiation from 3 weeks in the sun in 5 minutes.

My friends were able to stand infront of it but the rules where Stand 200 meters away from the fence you can take photo's stand 100 meters away from the fence you cant take photo's Do not climb over the fence or you will be escorted out back.
