I doubt it. Music is highly subjective and is generally appreciated in proportion to the emotional response evoked in the listener. Alec doesn't sing flawlessly (or even on key much of the time) but he does sing like few other people are capable of. It is precisely because of the idiosyncratic vocal hooks uttered by Alec that I think CYHSY is one of the better bands to emerge from the States in recent years. So anyway, I look forward to you posting your video in which you "sing better."

I hate idiots who think that singing is all about sounding like some prick from the fucking family channel. He sings in tune, so fucking what if he has a different style than the "pretty-boy" tone. It adds to his originality. What about Bob Dylan, can you sing better than him too? This is the style the band goes for dumb ass.

music isn't obligatory a melody, music is a chain of messages that you must understand, it still art and art must be appreciated such its produced ! this is indie rock and that's a reason to be respected, and finally this music isn't for everyon, it's for real listeners and artists, not everybody can understand it, i like this band and i like indie music because of its originality not as top ten at Mtv station, live long independant rock that's the real music feel free as bird, peace for you all

I like the over-the-pile-of-other-garbage-music- i-shout-Music! kind of feeling. This a random reminder of music's existence in the media that is destroying it. Be it art, be it voiceful silence be it absolutely disposable and unnecessary there's certain something that's holding you captive - I see them reproduce the record so well - do they know that something, is it scripted - or is it just happening randomly each time?

well, i am a real listener and artist and i tell you what- this is not music but a poor attempt to make some. i own both their albs and still think they have some pretty good potential but they just do waste it. look at them- the vocalist tries to look autistic but I know hes not one. look at the others. i bet in real life theyre cool guys- why try so hard to look like a bunch of constipated rat ass bathhouse suckers? damn, is this what art is about? i think, not.

his clothes, Im guessing, are just him trying to look a bit nicer for tv presence, he's not trying to show that he's artistic through his clothes. stop looking them up if your just going to complain about them

it's just my opinion, I didn't say I hate the band, it's just that I point out what I don't like about them. that's all. I own their albs and listen to them every now and then and if you don't like my opinion then no one needs you to read it- stick to your own
