Thanks for the recommendation./ Oh, I was just using the movie, "Saving Private Ryan," as an example of how art is only an approximation of reality (of course, it has its own reality). Some people seem to take it too literal. That's what I was talkin' about to someone else. Actually, Waits was a big fan of Charles Bukowski who felt this way about art, especially movies. Think of the simile of Plato's cave wall.

a good point, it's a ridiculous comparison, however much i love greenday, they are not comparable to Tom Waits not only because of the completely different styles but also Toms amazing genius would bring him out on top of most music really.. by the way love the name Mr. Infinitely Prolonged :)
