hmmm, I like both bands, i just want to give you some facts here, its credited on the albums, dave "CO" wrote 4 songs on kill em' all, and mostly wrote "2" songs from ride the lightning. And thats it. and metallica got famous from master of puppets, ...AJFA and black album, they became well known with their first 2 but nothing like the others. and they didn't steal the mechanix they wrote the song together, metallica had their rights to the music but rewrote it. you need facts. dont be a hater

I think it was for the best that mustaine was kicked out of metallica.. I mean that in a good way. If he was still with them there might not have been master of puppets and so on.. Every album would be like kill em all. Thats the main reason I prefer metallica over megadeth cause they have so much more to offer. Megadeth still kicks ass though.

vai... you can't really say what Metallica would have sounded like if Dave wasn't kicked out. It's mere speculation to say they would have continued to make albums like 'Kill 'Em All'. Personally I love Metallica's first four albums but generally speaking prefer Megadeth. I'll assume by your ID you're a Steve Vai fan, so I'm sure you can appreciate the complexity of Megadeth's music and the virtuosic playing of Poland and Friedman.
