hi..
i would love to explain about my kitties to someone.. as i have received so much hate in the last 24 hours since someone posted my youtube up at cuteoverload.. i can't keep up with it.. and it honestly is very hard, very hurtful.. so thanks to those who asked about tabitha & sabrina.. i've tried posting in the comments but no one reads them and there's a space limit..
in 2000 i was very ill with anorexia and my husband said for mother's day we'd get what i wanted most.. 2 kittens. 2 because i don't believe any cat should be alone with only humans and no other feline company when humans are away.. so we looked for months until i saw a sign 'free kittens'.. went
to this awful garage where many cats & litters of kittens were under dirty appliances and curled up against the cement wall in the cold.. i took home tabitha from there.. it was a real bad situation..
sabrina was given to me from our local pet store.. her mom and siblings had all been sold and she was left alone.. they became 'sisters' that way..
they saved my life. they are my little cherubs that earned their wings saving me. we lived in socal then (7 years ago) and they spent the first spring into summer in our patio, it was completely fenced and enclosed and they were too small to get out of the yard.. it was warm and they had a huge he
dge that was like their playplace, plus our bunny, matilda, to play with.. they couldn't have had happier kittenhoods.. often in the house my young son & his friends and their razor scooters posed more of a hazard for tiny little kittens underfoot.. so they were safest right where they were.. then my son got his allergy meds worked out and we let them inside that day (on the video).. i turned off the camera and brought tabitha in.. (sabrina wanted to stay outside mostly.. she liked to catch junebugs there.. i have a youtube of that up also, as well as one of both kitties inside and one of tabitha taking her medicine one time.. but no one comments on these..)
they were inside/outside kitties till tabitha had her kittens, then they stayed inside except for one hour each day, with my son supervising in the yard.. she, sabrina & the kittens (all girls) were spayed and we kept all to not split up the family..
we have since moved up north where cold weather and raccoons prevent them from going outside at all, but tabitha has a huge house and second story bay windows to watch squirrels & birds from.. she has been pampered and cherished every day of her life.. the only threat these cats have had is the risk of getting overweight as kibble has always been available 24/7 to them..
there was no torture going on, nothing cruel, people have read something into this 1:30 seconds of video out of their own fears.. tabitha is smiling and 'swishing' her tail, which she still does, she has a power.. no one can say no to that sweetness and she knows it and works it well, still. it wa
s just the cutest thing i had ever seen.. she likes to 'talk' and indeed as someone commented, 5 minutes later she would be begging to go back outside just as pitifully.. she was not suffering or deprived or neglected and all are healthy and happy 7 years later.. even with this huge house full of k
itty accoutremont they all choose to sleep right on the 'godless soulless monster' (me) at night, with tabitha right up closest to my face as always.. i have literally days worth of video of them, the kittens' birth, their first birthday party and xmas's, etc. i'd love to put up a more recent video
showing how bodaciously fluffy tabitha has become with her winter coat, but honestly i fear i was too open allowing strangers into her life this way.. some people don't realize people are animals too and i've gotten really hurt over all this. 44,000 views in one day.. and this has been scary.. than

p.s. never would i declaw! and my furniture attests to that fact.. just a reality in a kitty household :)
