I don't mean to sound mean or anything, but saying a comment like "god is imaginary" is going to bring forth some stupid replies.
And btw, there is no proof to prove God isnt real, yet there is no proof that there is a God. It is up to each person to believe what they want, and thus envisage God as a supreme being or a figment of our imagination

There is more evidence to say God isn't real. If you study it like i have then you will see how it is all a bunch of stupid stories that science is slowly discrediting. I was brought up a christian so was more tolerant of people believing in god, but now i just think those people are ignorant and shouldnt be allowed an opinion

I wasn't meaning to say I personally believed in God, and I'm not here to start a debate about the existence of a truly infallable being.
I was brought up a catholic and do not really belive the stories of God and his supremity, I was merely saying that people believe in different things, and ethically we shouldn't really be discrediting their beliefs. True that there is more evidence to point towards his inexistance, but we need t
o have a form of belief among the people.

In the case of the existence of God, you can either be right or wrong, and it's a part of the multicultralist society that we live in that allows us to believe what we want to believe and have the right of our own free speech, whether we are wrong or right.

I would if they kept their beliefs to themselves, but i find myself increasingly annoyed by religious people with high power getting involved in things like medical research saying things like "its playing god" and halting medical advancement. if they can impose their beliefs on us and halt medical research that can help humanity at large then i have no respect for them or their non-specific deity. (obviosly not all christians are like it but mostly they are self righteous dicks)

That is so true. As far as our rights go, they are pushing it. I don't mind an occasional outburst at a local level, but when it comes to high powered religious icons coming into the scene, they too need to tone it down. As far as I'm concerned, if they are really concerned about people "playing God", maybe they should forward their attention to something more worthwhile.

Exactly, religion in high power is a recipe for disaster. look at palestine/israel or bush's crusade... all over religion. This term "playing God" confuses me too. I can't see how genetic research is any more "playing God" than anything manmade, or how domesticating animals and selectively breeding them is. They wouldn't call breeding a dog "playing God" because man has changed it from being a wolf. As always with the church it's all hypocritical. There should be a church of atheism!

Even though the people inside the country are rascist, it doesn't mean it is not multicultural. The mere fact that we allow people of many races to freely become citizens is what makes us multicultural.
