Actually, in the every Led Zeppelin book you find it says that incident was actually Bonzo watching and laughing while Richard Cole did it, Richard Cole was one of Led Zeppelin's managers. And yes in their younger days they were wild, but in orgies and things like that. But that was their younger days at 20 years of age when they knew nothing better, especially Robert being from the country and transitioning to America with America having rumors of sex and drugs and just all things possible.

Yes, I realize this. Most of the antics Zep was known for were Cole's doings. Or later on it was Cole or the great John Bindon. I never said Robert did it, but those guys were still in his entourage. It is well known however that Robert caught the worm that was used to bait the hood that caught the snapper. It was from his mum's flower bed back home. He used to bring that worm on tour with him and it would be backstage at almost all the old shows. Everyone knows that. The worm's name was Skuter.

i work at a restaurant in malibu, california. he was in having dinner. we ended up talking quite a bit over the course of his meal. he couldn't have been more engaged/engaging. the years haven't blunted his ardor for "flying his kite," as he told me his mother characterized his muse.

No problem my friend glad to share one of the more um...sportsman like stories in the world of Zeppelin. The legend goes kind of like this. Back on one of their very first US tours ('69 I think) they were staying at The Edgewater Hotel in Seattle. It's a hotel that extends into Puget Sound so you can fish off of your room's balcony. They even rented out poles in the lobby. Anyhow, Bonham and Richard Cole (tour manager) and some blokes from another band had a red haired groupie (CONTINUED BELOW)

(CONTINUED) in their room (324) and she was kind of annoying. So one of the fellas (Bonham perhaps) caught a mudshark and Cole said "so how would your red-snapper like to me this red-snapper?" The groupie was tied up and the red-snappers were acquainted. Apparently the girl really enjoyed it (that must have been a lovely smell). Rumor is there is video footage. These days something like that doesn't sound too crazy, but back then it created a legend and that is the story my friend.

Straight to favourites! This sensational collaboration got my wife into Robert Plant and I am a huge Led Zeppelin fan for many years. It just goes to show that Plant is the quintessential vocal artist of the century. His diversity of style and vocal range are second to none. Krauss has an absolutely beautiful voice - priceless! Thanks for putting this up!
