| Midnight Confessions was a number one single in 1968. The Grass Roots had several Top Ten Single 45RPM's in the late 60's and early 70's. I play them often because I love their songs. They make me feel good inside. |

| They had a lot of great songs and hits but this was probably their best song and their biggest hit. A very good sound and I especially liked their use of horns, a unique sound for rock music in the 1960's. |

| You're right, JD (about the bass players)....but the guys you mentioned actually played on the recordings. Rob is a great frontman, but like other hit machines of the 60's, they used hired guns in the studio. This one in particular features Carol Kaye on bass. Look her up! She has a phenomenal track record. |
