There are some inaccuracies with Cool Runnings and the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics. 1)The International Olympic community was VERY welcoming of Team Jamaica, 2) Contrary to the stereotype of Canada being a Frozen wasteland, and the Palm tree of Jamaica turning into a Pine Tree of Calgary blowing in the winter wind. Calgary's winters are very dry and desert like, the Bobsled track was clogged with DIRT and gravel.
