There is a DVD with English substitles. The actors are German and the film was made by the Bavarian film company. This is the first mainstream gay flick about middle class young people made in Germany; the critics in Germany loved it.

I adored the video! I have been trying for years to find out what that song was and what the lyrics are! Since he used the cross in the background for the final dramatic scene, the director apparently decided the lyrics would confuse the mood, which is supposed to be "sublime", so they are not clear during the scene.

Summer Storm has a superb "dramatic arc". It is worth watching it straight through at one sitting to catch this. The dialogue is crtically important. Leo's nasty comments about life being more than sex, and his remark "it was not easy but if you hide forever, you forget who you are" in the last dramatic scene with Toby are crucial to understanding the flick.

bit of info on the film: 1.tobi's girl friend is a polish actres and doesnt speak a word of german. she learnt the teyxt with out knowing its meaning (thtas some acting! or) 2.the average temperature on set was between 5-10
°C it was filmed at the end of the year. (thats why there was no one on the beachs, and the lake was empty)
