Andy Wood was a person one it's kind. You didnt really find a lot of musicians in seattle that were as much on their feminine sides like Andy. He wasnt gay, but he was much more subtle than all veders, cobains and Staleys at the Time. He was significant.

while there is an uncomfortable element in mlb music that reminds me of faster pussycat and (ahem) poison, they aren't lame-ass. i suspect they were more traditionally rocknroll, versus punk/hardcore. since they became pearl jame, which is also not really a grunge but rather classic rock... they were of their times in their own way. even gunsnroses, though glam, were raw, and during that time period there were many competing styles (faith nomore, chili peppers, jane's addiction). etc.......
