The Rattle and Hum and Joshua Tree Album versions are awesome. And I think this is right up there with them - He sings the melody differently here, and it gives the song a new dimension - very cool

Another great performance of this stellar song by U2. It matches the Slane Castle performance but stills lags Rattle & Hum (#1) and Boston 2001 (see YouTube video) live performances. The best cover/reprise I've seen/heard of this song remains that of Gregorian (Chant). Look it up here on YouTube - great stuff. Slante!
