The World's Greatest Live Rock 'n' Roll Band plays their irresistible homage to THINGS CHANGE live at Jones Beach, Long Island on 6/27/2006. This tune was penned by former band member Dickey Betts and they still love to play it, much as they still love to play "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed." Yet they no longer play this song's album-mate "Back Where It All Begins" and seldom perform anymore "Jessica" and "Blue Sky" since Dickey's departure....supposedly because they are Dickey tunes, so I don't get it! Anyway, this is a great performance of a great song from a great album. If you would like to see the late/great Allen Woody....and how intriguing is this?...if you would like to watch Duane Allman jam with Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks in 2006 - then watch the onstage screen behind the drummers for a real treat!
This show also included an excellent cover of The Band's classic "The Weight" and the first Jones Beach "In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" in eight years! This was a great concert and you can own a pristine and professionally mixed soundboard of this very show....to enjoy over and over again - so enjoy! :-)

| Did it ever occur to you that ABB and Dickey are contractually, if not now personally, peachy keen w/one another? Dickey's music vids and merchandise are sold on the ABB website. Dickey still gets a cut of a lot of what the ABB does and sells. AND he is the complete owner and boss of Great Southern. It's eight years history now.... |
