Interesting apparatus for keeping that electric cello upright while the lady is moving around on stage. Hip brace + shoulder straps it looks like?

It's one of may favourite videos, but I think the reverb effect is unnecessary.

It's probably cause she had to play a lot of notes high up on the neck, which is harder to do on the acoustic cello, and plus she can rock out more that way. Btw, for string players, "high" on the neck is closer to the ground.

You can't hit the low notes on an elctric violin, and you can on a cello. A lot of people don't realize that cellos pretty much have the biggest range of any string instrument. Why compromise it so much when you can just find a way to do everything?

This is awesome... She used reverb on the electric cello, may be another reason... Plus it appears to have more strings.

I'm amazed at the pretty stupid comments here. Not only are John and Jen are great musicians they are wonderfully kind people. I saw them live at Ashland Coffee and Tea in Virginia. The NS Cello has its place. It is a great instrument that a allows the cellist more freedom. John and Jen keep up the great work. Jen I hope you're feeling better. Cheers, Mark.
