totally agree. an american feeling of it all lingers throughout. i h8 the way kk does that thing with gritting her teeth and moving her chin. she almost rushes her lines at times.

i love this scene in the movie =). its so sweet. this version stays truer the book and to the time period and i like that alot, the one with keira knightley is more modern feeling with a little more of the "modern romance" feel to it. they are both really good movies but i prefer this on a lil bit more, and Colin Firth is EXTREMELY handsome!!!! <3 my favorite older actor!!!!! he does sucha good job!!!

So this is the famous strip scene that I've been looking for for ages??? I was expecting him to go shirtless! + it would have been much nicer if this had happened in the recent film version of P&P, I mean, Matthew McFayden, need I say more?
I know I'm going to be hit by many Colin Firth lovers out there, but he looked much sexier in the portrait then he did in real life. Sorry :( But the truth hurts! Although, I have to admit I thought he was quite sexy in Mamma Mia recently.

This version is so much better than the movie (even though some of it was filmed in my home town). Keira played lizzie totally wrong and Darcy is performed so well by Colin Firth. Compare it to Harry in Mamma Mia and you wouldn't believe they were played by the same actor! He's fab...

I KNOW. I'd only seen the newest version, and I was looking and waiting for he scene where he jumps in the lake, but it never happens..... And I watch this one... but I sorta expected more from what Ive heard.
And I have to agree with you. I think matthe mcfayden fits mr darcy more just by the cold, distant way he has. Somehow I find colin firth to be a bt too lively and awkward being that supposedly 'cold' character of mr darcy.
