The Bible? I usually defend Christians (especially from scriptual attacks from Muslims). But be humble about it...do not degrade the faith (peaceful) of others. Then we you will have to explain much about God using his 'power' to kill and attack in the Old Testament, and the same God (via Jesus, the 10 commandments, and the holy spirit) condemns the very same actions, by the same humanity that he allows to commit these acts. Islam is even worse in this hypocrisy.

Pharaoh probably thought the egyption religion was working well for him and had wealth, power and the miracles of his magicians to back it up. I also own 3 properties in 3 different countries...with NO DEBT, including India...do you have any idea of the property prices in India, now?

Well no shit, it's called setting goals for yourself and not giving up. Everyone was taught that growing up. I've read this book, IMO it's just a book to market for money. It teaches you to not let problems get to your head, go for your goals, and blah blah basically. But whatever works best for you then do it, i'm happy for ya. But it's just another basic bullshit book to sell.

You're right, your perception of life has alot to do with it. Bringing inner peace and sticking strong to your goals is too. And yes, I know there are many (mostly surgeons) jobs in the med school that get paid 400k-600k and even up to a million a year! (cardiovascular surgeons can make up to a million) I'm sorry for coming at you wrong like that. I wish the best of luck to you and your life.

Agreed...completely! They took basic principles and put a nice cover on it...and marketed it.
However, this book gave me some ideas to follow, that's all. I do not worship it or pray to it...let's get that part straight. Religion has the best selling 'fraud books' out there...so I am very familiar with 'fraud books.'

Oh yeah, I agree with you. I believe in God though. Not the over published God thats been re-written 100s of times in the bible, i believe in the God that keeps my mind in a state of peace and love, along with determination. I lean towards christianity but not like all these bible huggers that are quick to point fingers towards others. (99% of christians)

macolyis, I have had religions leaders request increasing funds (thousands of dollars per year in tithes and mission giving). When I did not give what they requested, they would rebuke me for my 'sin.' Later, we find out that they are not what they appear to be...hypocrites. Isn't this greed and hypocrisy prevalent in the church? Do you praise those fake healers on Sunday mornings? Do you 'believe?' Religion threatens and tames weak minded zombies. Jesus warned that many would come in His name saying that He is Christ and would deceive many. He also said that not all who called after Him Lord, Lord would enter the kingdom of heaven but him that did the will of His Father who is in heaven. If you want to inherit eternal life you should follow Jesus and His teachings not after men. Before you give to a church you should make sure that church is also following Christ's teachings and using the money to do the things Jesus said to do.

Jesus was the God of the Old covenant (The Word with whom Moses spoke) and He mentions His judgments during His ministry. He is very clear that His judgments were righteous and if the people to whom He spoke did not repent they would meet a similar fate. While He was carrying His cross he told women who were weeping not to weep for Him but for themselves and their children. Israel crucified their Messiah, and the Judgments of God against them were terrible. Women actually ate their children.
