Your post proves you know next to nothing about WW2. True, on 7/25/41 FDR stopped oil shipments to Japan- we stopped assisting them in their invasion of Japan (and their occupation of Indochina) (Chinese civilian death toll 15 million) After the J attack on Pearl Harbor, we could never make peace with the militarists. In the last year of the war, J losses ere 2 million dead- but ONLY the dropping of the Nagasaki bomb induced Hirohito to issue the surrender order.

IMO, they Yanks should of just kept up the fighting for a bit longer and waited for Russia to invade too. That way, even if the war lasted longer, the effort would of been focused on taking out the Japanese army rather than mindlessly blowing up countless thousands of civilians.
