Crosby- that guitar is a Casio guitar synth- as favoured by Charlie Burchill of simple minds. Onto the Clapton solo- rarely have I heard a song changed so brillaintly in tempo by one solo. That is perfection.

Eric Clapton is a ... ( 1 week ago by EchoCannon89)
Eric Clapton is a better musician and performer, but JJ Cale is a better songwriter. "Cocaine", "After Midnight", "Lay Down Sally"; Clapton's three best songs are all written by Cale, not to mention "Call Me the Breeze". The album should have been Eric Clapton performing songs written by Cale, having Cale play was pointless

JJ Cale is a fantastic songwriter, but Lay Down Sally was written by Clapton, Marcy Levy (AKA Marcella Detroit) and George Terry. Terry and Levy are former Clapton band members.
