Sometimes I tell myself that and that society needs to grow up. people don't only hold religion for this reason but also for hope. You may ask the right questions, you lake the most important question. What a you living for. and other questions like how could all of this began out of no where. and if we die then someday the world will die along with us so why does it begin to end. how could science explain how the world was created when it was not invented yet. And what you explained about you live for yourself is the same reason people reject God because they don't want to be lower than something but be gretter. we have been strugling to take control of our lives but never could.
