´m sailing 3 times a week and every second weekend in competitions. i have a laser (if that tells you anything) and my family has a swan 66. i also do kitesurfing and i´m 100% sure that this is not dangerous at all, the boats can be there in 5 seconds and the helicopter can fly to the shore quickl

Hey Gretsch, you're not an accomplished sailor just because your family owns a couple of motor yachts. Apparently you look at yourself as an expert, but reading your posts I can't help thinking of you as a wannabe. No, the boats aren't made for towing from the mast, but do you really think the rig is going to break or something just because two 70kg guys are towed behind it when it's constantly under MUCH more stress from strong winds? And what makes wakeboarding safer from a motor yacht?

Whoever this gretsch guy is he dosent know fuck. Towing from the mast of a sailing yacht is not going to do any damage. probably only 150 kilos of resistance on it when there is several tonnes in the sail. The color of the water stays about the same after about 30 feet anyway. The lack of a life jacket is compensated for by the fact that they have two rescue boats and a helicopter watching.

agree with rhw500. and exactly where is it "illegal" to not be wearing a type III PFD exactly? clearly not in france, or the sponsors would never have allowed this to happen. and gretsch, you can stick your piece of shit motor yachts (daddy's, aren't they?) somewhere a long way away. if i ever see them in a port near me, be prepared for some extreme vandalism. fucktard
