I think Neil will be the next Carl Sagan as far as popularizing astronomy is concerned. Timothy Ferris has some goods books, but is more of a journalist
Most famous living astronomer, probably Hawking, since cutting-edge astronomy is essentially astrophysics nowadays. Most famous astronomer ever? Either Newton or Galileo.

Sagan and Tyson's books both have the same kind of feel or flow to them. Although Tyson is not where Carl was when he died they are both very entertaining. Also, i think that all astrophysicists have the same sense of humor.

Insipring words from a hubble dude, I mean humble dude LOL. Makes me want to reconsider my career choices since people are always coaxing me to teach science. I guess I make it fun for them to learn. 2:35 is where he said stuff that really hit home with me. Oh, I'd have to go back to school to get a teachers cert. Nevermind LOL!

When people ask me who I want to meet the most, I usually say Tyson. I could ask him questions for days. Im glad he likes answering them ;) I think he is a legacy to Sagan in that he is more concerned with enlightening the public than his own personal ego.
