Some clarification on the saxophone personnel. The first soloist is a friend and great musician, Gary Klein, who is still playing and currently living in West Virginia. Gary confirmed that the bari player is Tom Anastas.

The tenor on the right is my cousin Sal Nistico, just a great guy and a fabulous player. I used to watch him transcribe at my Aunt's house when I was a little girl. Sadly he is now deceased; he passed away in about 1989. Some of his early stuff is with Chuck Mangione under the Jazz Brothers out of Rochester NY. Late is his life he lived in Berne Switzerland - Check out Sal Nistico - Empty Room, and Heavyweights.

Sal is one of the underated players of his era. I was lucky to see him with the Buddy Rich band when I was only 15 years old and I was hooked on his playing. I saw his father at a Jazz concert in Syracuse, New York but didn't feel comfortable going up and talking to him about his son's incredible talant. I plan on looking for more of his music in the future.

I've gotta tell you... i'm only in my 40's, and recently discovered boxes of old records (in good condition) that a neighbor was throwing away. Which is what led me to research some of these names here on 'YouTube'. I have a newfound appreciation for this lost art. This stuff is AMAZING!!!!
