vernments say, should increase national security. These laws obviously aim at another goal: the states gaining more and more control of their citizens at the cost of our privacy and freedom.

| Yes, I'd say they are still wrong to install on the simple but important premise that we the people have a right to privacy. Plus, no good can come from living like this. Or what good that does come will be far outweighed by the bad. The government and private security firms have no right to this information, not to mention it infringes on our 5th amendment right against self-incrimination, which provides protection for the privacy of personal information. Why spy on us? |
