is this the same with a very small indoor juniper? i've heard to let it almost dry out before watering again but i'm very new to this. thanks

Not really the best advice. The bonsai trees should not be watererd to a schedual but only when the tree need it. Especailly in different seasons. Great trees though it obviously is working for you!

Get it outside full sun before it dies.

junipers should be brought in for winter protection but put straight back out asap,as for watering the best way ive found is to feel the weight of it once youve watered it and then when you feel it is lighter give it a water dont ever rely on what the suface of the soil looks like as this dosnt give you a true idea wether it needs water and i would ever water foliage in the sun as it burns the leaves..

I'm not an expert, but I'm sure juniper are outdoor bonsai. If you want an indoor go with ficus

any tree can be indoor bonsai or outdoor.. indoor bonsai need a put at outside, sometime. and juniper, it like dry, dislike over-watering. so, the soil must be good drainage.

Actually, there is no such thing as an indoor bonsai, unless you can find a tree that grows indoors, the only plants that wont die as easily are tropical plants or trees, but even those need quite a bit of sun.

Yup, dont ever try to grow a juniper indoors unless you want it to die in one or two years, in which case all your work goes down the drain.
