Wow, he seems to really like it! I finally have a rat now, she's maybe 4 months old, and I've been looking up how to bathe her properly. I can only hope she does as well as Fossil. Too cute!

Then its best not to get any, rats NEED to be in pairs. Really, having 2 is no different from having one, they'll fit in the same cage and everything.

I need tips, my male fancy rat Rolli, doesnt seem to like water and i would love to get him to swim in the tub.. not in deep water but about medium does anyone have any water training advice for me, please?

Most of the rats dont like water. But you can make them to be less concerned by get them used to water by short baths. Just take them to the tub and let them feel the warm water on their belly and legs for about 30 seconds. And repeat that a few times and increase the time slowly, He maybe will get used to it and starts to like it. :)

Temperature: Warm but not hot. Rats bodytemperature are about 38 degrees Celsius so 38-40 degrees are fine. You dont need soap or shampoo if the rat arent specially dirty. If it is dirty you can use regular shampoo for humans if you dont use it often. I use Pinesoap (S
åpa in swedish). Sink or tub works both, but if the rat dont like the bath i can be better in the tub so he/she cant just jump out... Hope you undertsnad my bad english :)

Some petstores carry shampoos for rats, if they don't have that you can try ferret shampoo. I learned that people shampoos can be bad for their skin because of the perfumes and other chemicals.
