Lear invites Schultz into his home for a glimpse at one of his most prized possessions, an original copy of the Declaration of Independence. They also visit Declare Yourself, Lear's organization devoted to encouraging voter registration amongst America's youngest voting population, and the historic recording studio of Ray Charles, the artist who was at the center of Schultz and Lear's first business collaboration. In Seattle the men take a morning stroll through Pike Place Market, home to the first Starbucks store. Schultz and Lear conclude their journey with a visit to White Center Park, recently renewed by the Starbucks Corporation and its employees and the Kent Roasting Plant where the two do an authentic coffee tasting and Lear learns the process of how Starbucks produces and distributes coffee across the globe.
