The best way to combat the mainstream media is to only buy music, movies, magazines, and newspapers from alternative media, independent studios, and small record labels. Sell/trade any DVDs and CDs you have from the big 6 media conglomerates. Don't use myspace or IGN which are owned by Fox. Don't even look at a trailer to their movies. Give up a little so your kids don't have to give up a lot.

The republican should be real conservatives, not neocons, so the democrats would have a respectible party to go against.
That would also make the dems want smaller government as well, which would be nice.
