Here's Part 2 to the overview of the different Eyeshadows that MAC carries. Just a video to give you guys an idea on what to look for when buying eyeshadows. The different finishes are listed below. To find out the color description and finish of each shadow simple mouse-hover over the color at the MAC website and a pop box will appear displaying the info. EnJoy!
Eyeshadow Finishes: MATTE/MATTE2 - High color pay off, no-shine, matte finish. SATIN - Pure color in Satin style finish, provides soft subtle non frost light refractive sheen. FROST - irridescent shine that adds a highlight quality to any color. LUSTRE - smoothly pearlized; intensely frosted wi
th a deluxe ultra fine "conditioned" finish. VELVET - Soft look finish, plush velvety look
feel.
VELUXE - superfine texture. Pigment rich
very luxe. Supple to apply, silky smooth matte finish.
VELUXE PEARL - Vibrant velvety soft with a metallic shimmer veluxe formula overlaid with high-shine pearl.

thanks for your very informative videos koren. i am starting a nude/browns collection. could you suggest different color combinations that i could get as well as the "must have" colors. also could you suggest good highlight colors for asian with medium skin tone? can't wait to see your new videos. keep up the good work.

hey misj - check out the palette i featured in the BASIC/Starter Kit video and write down the neutral shadows in that palette. Check them out the next time you go to MAC. Also, for highlighter, I like using Brule and Busque pretty much on everyone.

i was very surprised to discover (today!) that my electric eel is a satin. cause was convinced that it's a matte. i don't see no shine in it whatsoever. it's one of my fav colors :) love it

hey supergirl - you can definitely tone it down by using a blender brush like a 224, just sweeping over the sketch, and it will soften the color a little.

I usually don't comment on any videos but this was great! It was super helpful!! There are so many tutorial videos that just jump into makeup applications without really considering the product, methods, or tools. For example, I know all about brushes now, but I guess in the future it would be cool to do a MAC brush tutorial for newbies. :) Anyways, great work!
