i think the song is basically about the fact that they are being separated. as you can see in the video, the dad doesn't want his daughter to be with Nhat Tinh Anh. Yet, he is still waiting for her to come back and he will keep the love for her with him always. In the end, she DOES come back. I think that's pretty much it, and he uses metaphors with rain and stuff to describe his mood. It's a really cute song.
