hey bealmeister, if you know drums, you'd understand why he's number 1. but he's probably a close second behind steve gadd. but well its not about ranking really. its about the music. This is vintage Vinnie! I agree with ThePoorBoy: Vinne's got a loose, badass, killer groove.

Yeah! Vinnie is probably the best drummer ever, behind Neil Peart, maybe. He is just progressive and technical all the way and puts a lot of emphasis in his drumbeats. A genius!

I first heard of Vinnie thanks to Stings stuff. Didnt realise what a god he was. Stings always worked with some of the best drummers ever, and I still prefer his days in The Police and Steward Copelands drumming. But taking it up about 20 levels is big Vinnie, pure class.

Love the scream at the beginning. And geez, when the first guitar riff came at 0:09, I thought they were playing Black Sabbath's 'Iron Man'!
