I loved Double Dragon 1, Double Dragon 2, and Battletoads and Double Dragon.
I never played Double Dragon 3 though. Don't know why, but it looked like I wasn't missing out on anything. Great upload :)

I remember I beat all the Double Dragon games by the time I was 8. I tried like a year ago and I died before I left the damn Dojo. I felt like such a failure. That is what DD3 does to you. It makes you feel like you fail. :/ But when you beat it you feel like God. For a moment until it kills you again.

I finished this game years ago. Yes, idd, it's bloody hard. The last level is hard cause it's set on the pyramids and jumping on the platform with enemies around is really frustrating. To be the last boss, I had to use the other 2 characters which can be usefull (Cin has a strong special attack,but the ninja is the better).
In the end, it's one of the most frustrating game I've ever played on NES.

No it's not. Some of the games he reviews in retrospect really do suck, but DD3 doesn't belong in there. He really does just suck at it.

I really liked the fighting controls of this game (I thought they were better than II), but yeah, the difficulty and only one life thing were just ridiculous. But you can't completely blame them for that. They were only taking after the arcade version, which was an even bigger turd. You actually had to BUY powerups i.e.: with your actual money. THEY MADE YOU PUT MORE QUARTERS IN TO REFILL YOUR DAMN LIFE METER. And don't get me started on the Genesis Version.
