The 25th of my Reenactment Series. Holy clusterf$# &, you guys must have picked the hardest, longest scene in any movie, with the most characters. This is a personal record: 8 characters, about 8 minutes of dialogue, totalling up to 9 minutes and 30 seconds... this is the biggest one yet... I hope I lived up to your expectations. Also, this is where I put my Steve Buscemi impersonation to the test... I think it's getting better, but I need to exaggerate it more... make it higher and more nasally.
To those film students who worship the ground Quentin Tarantino walks on, this scene, let alone this movie, needs no introduction. In this scene from Reservoir Dogs, eight crooks, hours before a big diamond heist, sit around a table in a diner and bullshit about the important stuff: tipping, Mado
nna, and K-Billy's Supersounds of the 70s Weekend. I should have known the top two requests would be Tarantino, the master of dialogue that can be incredibly cool while simultaneously be about nothing at all. This scene is a good example. Pulp Fiction is last... I'm thinking it may actually BE th
e last. After Pulp Fiction, there's a good chance I'll never do another reenactment again... so, I'll make it a good one.
