Hispanic people have been leaving Prince William County. That's what's been happening. That's all we know for sure. I know several families that have left because of this.
Also the county has earned a reputation for being unfriendly to immigrants. A lot of the immigrants that remain are a little scared. Some are angry. It's sad because the Hispanic immigrants have always been some of the friendliest people in the area.

Besides that all sides have been arguing. The anti-immigrant folks say that the economy is improving because the immigrants are leaving. The pro-immigrant folks are arguing that things are worse. Everyone is selectively looking for facts to support their pre-drawn conclusions. Not much real analysis is being done.
And neither sides gives a rat's ass about the effect on the immigrants. Nobody really gives a damn about them. It's sad.

Thanks for the update, Ralph! I did see in the Wapo today that 55 arrests were made at a Dulles airport construction entrance. It appears the USA does need laborers. Perhaps the laws could be updated to allow in more laborers on an as-needed, and temporary basis. This would probably be more palatable to citizens than "amnesty" for those who have already entered illegally.
