Great Album. Daniel Lanois did this album AND U2's Joshua Tree AND Peter Gabriel's So at the same time. Unbelievable. All top 20 albums in my rotation. I played this on my iPod over and over on the way to Sturgis last year. What a ride. Thanks Robbie for 50 years of music!

Robbie Robertson is an unbelievable talent. I still listen to the Last Waltz all the time. It's been great discovering his new stuff. And the fact that he incorporates his culture into his music is beautiful.

This was one of my absolute favourite albums at the time, and I played the vinyl to death. In a fit of nostalgia I thought I'd revisit it on youtube, and I just about remembered all the words.
The sound has dated a little, but nowhere nearly as badly as some 80's stuff. And the dated sound can't mask the fact that this is a great song.
