Extract i made of the Elisabeth musical, featuring the marriage Walz and der letzte Tanz. I do not own this video, someone taped it during the early performances in Wien and i cut parts from it. The video however was without clear copyright, so i thought i couldn't deny my fellow fans this joy.

Ach ja, die "goldene Tenorstimme" Deutschlands... ;-) Ja, der Tod steht ihm wahrhaftig gut, dem lieben Uwe Kr
öger. Ich finde es wirklich bemerkenswert, wie gut er mit seiner Stimme umgehen kann in dem Sinne, er beherrscht sie ausgezeichnet und kann ihr alle möglichen Facetten entlocken. Und die Mimik und Gestik am Anfang - herrlich. ;-) Und sehr prägnant. ;-)

Also mir gefaellt ELISABETH wohl in jeder Besetzung sehr gut, da ich dieses Musical einfach SUPER finde! Die Originalbesetzung ist natuerlich einzigartig, und Uwe wie Pia toll sind. Aber ich finde auch Mate und Maya sind unwerfend in Ihren Rollen...

Dumb(ish) question: did the original production have the Hungary-coronation gown with the blue bodice/poofed skirt, or was it the one that Maya wears in the dvd? The original Wien and the most current Wien seem to share costumes and sets, but the only recordings I can find of Wenn Ich Tanzen Will seem to be the Essen performances, which seem to have different sets and costumes.

Wenn Ich Tanzen Will did not become part of the production until Essen in 2001. While I am not sure which dress is shown in the original production for Eljen, I am going to guess it was the one you see in the revival. I hope this helps.

wow... I first watched this musical in German and it was fantastic! 'til today I had just one reason to love this musical: in the Hungarian musical, a really good singer and actor plays the role of Death: Szab
ó P. Szilveszter. now, I've got an other reason: the German Death is as good as Szilveszter. I think our Death has a bit deeper voice, and of course for me the Hungarian is better, than the others. thanks! I'm really happy to watch it! :)

ár így németül elég furcsa. Viszont a színésznek nagyon jó hangja van. Azért azt a szőke parókát lecserélhetné feketére. Így nem a halálra hasonlít, hanem egy szőke hercegre.
