I don't understand all of the animosity between the Waits fans and Ramones fans. I just happened on to this song, and it was the Ramones version. It's funny that the song structure and lyrics sound very Ramones-like. I would have believed it was an original of theirs, if I didn't know it was by Waits. Both versions are great.
