Ok lets settle this once and for all. the Cobra engine is a torquey beast; however, the 2jz makes insane horsepower. The Cobra will beat the supra on a quarter mile most times but on the highway the supra will kill any car. both are damn good cars so stop bashing both of them.

ok, dominated on the track yes, i would say they are quicker on a sprint than a supra, but open road?? Supra will fuck a mustang sideways and backwards on open road. I promise you, 1/4mile in my opinion aint shit. proves nothing, only sprint quickness, Now for the faster? Take them out on open road and let them trickle with 150+mph and see how the supra display's its tailights.

Your really don't know do you. A supra will make 1000hp on the STOCK BOTTOM END for a while, but will blow in no time. "a 600whp supra can take almost about anything." hmm. I seem to remember watching a 1300hp pump gas, low boost viper put a 600whp supra on blocks, don't believe me? Look it up. "1000 is massiave annihilation of any viper" really now. Your right, their are a couple supras making huge HP, and for the size of the motor thats amazing. But they still can't make the power of vipers.

we are comparing 8.0liter+ when bored, to a "max 3.4or 3.5ltr supra engine. At the end of the day, u gotta wipe the sweat off your forhead and look at the whole picture.that more than half engine supra and almost half less cylinders can kick some ass and even keep up with something of a maxed out viper. Thats what im amazed at. But dont worry, the new GTR will be cracked to max tune and that V-10 Supra and NSX is coming to your showrooms soon enuff with more displacement than lil bros n sis

im not a supra fan or american car muscle fan, im just an enthusiast ya know. And i know, viper's massive torque make you seem like your going faster than you really are. supras normally would make more power. You see more 650+hp supras than vipers on the road. Supras just need custom final gear ratios and some aero work and you'll see them surpass vipers. I promise you. Im not a big brainy on these 2 specific cars, so this is all out of opinions. I will do my research to back up any facts thou

The thing is, the V-10 supra idea was slod to lexas, and Honda has scarped the NSX. And no, a supra can not come close to touching a maxxed out viper. Look at it this way. The fastest pump gas supra is what a 9 something. The fastest pump gas viper is a 7.9.

There are more 650hp supras around becoase they are hella cheaper to buy and mod. Please don't get me wrong, I'd kill someone for a supra but their just not as fast as vipers, for one reason or another. But the face still remains, you can get much more power out of a viper than a supra. And the viper is a much better platform than the supra. And I will say the viper is ugly as fuck, but I still love. And yes the supra is sexxy.

i know there is no replacement for displacement. But Dick has it right about supras are the way to go if ya want a resonable car and history shows they have a strong motor the viper yes has the v8 or V10 depending on model but there is a select few that are a reliable fast car.

um no viper has a V8. Just the V10. They started out with 400 then worked up to...600 now? or 5something.....? Vipers are a decent platform to build but dont have a huge supply like the supras. It is cheaper to build a supra, but itll take more to it to compete with a viper with the same mods. The Supra engine is a stout one and has great potential. Overall a great example of the japanese making a great car. Im a diehard viper fan in the end tho.
